Historic Hansard is an easy to read version of Australian Commonwealth parliamentary debates from 1901 to 1980. If you've ever used the official ParlInfo database you'll know that's it's difficult to browse proceedings and read speeches in context. Historic Hansard lets you browse by year, parliament, and day. Additional indexes let you explore the history of bills and the contributions of individual parliamentarians. I've also integrated Voyant Tools and Hypothes.is to add text analysis and annotation services.

Many humanists seize on the “public humanities” to address the public relevance of the humanities in general. Public humanities programs offer students experiential learning that will lead to a deeper knowledge of both their world and their subject matter. For educators, public work promises to “make a difference,” by having humanities learning engage directly with public needs.
