This one-day international symposium will address the global dimensions of Latin American Studies, past, present and future. Confident that the field cannot be properly understood merely as a product of the Cold War, this symposium will take the long, global view of the field.
The American Philosophical Society Library is now accepting applications for long and short-term research fellowships for scholars working in the fields of history of science, technology, and medicine; early American history; and Native American and Indigenous studies. Applicants whose research subjects overlap any other APS Library fellowship programs may also submit applications to other pertinent programs, though only one fellowship can be awarded to an individual.
Like in previous years, the Educational Committee of the International Commission of Military History invites PhD. students to take part in a workshop for young scholars who are still working on or have just finished their PhD thesis on a topic related to "The Creation of New States and Collapse of Old Empires in the XXth Century“.
The purpose of the workshop is to give young scholars the opportunity of discussing their projects with young as well as experienced colleagues from over 40 Countries.
