Watched Prof. Kennedy's (Yale) on Naval History of WW II few days earlier on H-War's list of tweets, where he discussed the History of Battle of the Atlantic. [Ed. note: the video can be found here.] It brought to mind this news story from the Chicago Tribune (May 3, 1942, p. 4) of a presentation made there during WW II by the newspaper concerning History of the Civil War and Battle of the Wilderness in Maps (will eventually post on H-civwar).
Backpage of the Tribune included a story about how the US was beating Nazi Germany at its own submarine warfare agaist the Allies.
