Genocide in World History

The New England Regional World History Association (NERWHA), the Mid-Atlantic World History Association (MAWHA), and the Department of History and Social Sciences at Bryant University are pleased to announce that, in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the be ginning of the Armenian Genocide, the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Nazi death camps, and the 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica Genocide, they will cosponsor a symposium focused on Genocide in World History, October 9-10, 2015, on the campus of Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

The program will include a Friday-evening, free public lecture and book-signing by Christopher J. Dodd, co-author of Letters from Nuremberg: My Father’s Narrative of a Quest for Justice, which details the work of Thomas J. Dodd, lead American counsel at Nuremberg, and a full day of panels on Saturday, plus a Saturday-morning workshop for teachers, “Using Role-Immersion Games to Help Students Understand Issues of Genocide and Humanitarian Intervention.”
