The Kentucky Early American Seminar is set for Friday, September 25th, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the Kentucky Historical Society in Frankfort, Kentucky. The paper for discussion at this session - available for download at the website - is by Kristopher Ray, Dartmouth College and Austin Peay State University: "The 'Indians of every denomination were free, and independent of us': White Southern Explorations of Indigenous Slavery, Freedom, and Society, 1772-1830." Following the discussion, participants will gather for a social hour and dinner at a local restaurant.
