The Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington is now accepting applications for our 2016-17 Fellows program. Both short-term (up to three months) and long-term (up to six months) awards are available to doctoral candidates, recent PhDs, mid-career faculty, as well as advanced scholars and independent researchers with relevant topics. Awards include a generous stipend, travel, housing on the Mount Vernon estate, and access to collections and electronic databases. These fellowships support the growing community of scholars whose research focuses on George Washington, Colonial America, the Revolutionary Era, and Early Republic. Applications must be received by December 31, 2015 and will be reviewed by a panel of outside scholars.
