Last month, I issued a CFP (see original below) for a special issue of the Marine Corps University Journal, focusing on climate change and policy. We have accepted several proposals for papers from well-established, published authors, but we are still looking for a few articles covering different aspects of the issue. Specifically, I am very interested in acquiring a political science perspective on climate change denial and partisan politics, a scientific perspective on realistic policy changes, and economic perspective (domestic or foreign). We encourage junior scholars to submit.
The journal is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes articles and book reviews related to international relations and public policy. The deadline for submission is 15 February 2015. Please email proposals or questions to Dr. Alexandra Kindell at email@example.com.
Original CFP: Special Issue on Climate Change
The editors of the Marine Corps University Press (MCUP) are planning a special issue of the Marine Corps University Journal and invite authors to submit papers on various aspects of climate change, including:
- Environmental concerns
- Economic impacts
- Policy matters
- Political narratives about climate change
- Geopolitical concerns
- Military-related analysis
The Journal specifically and the MCUP generally has readership from the ranks of policy makers, academics, and military advisors. Therefore, we would like to see the issue of climate change addressed from a variety of perspectives to inform our readers. If the response warrants an independent publication, the press will publish the collection as an edited volume.
If you have questions or would like to make a proposal, please contact Dr. Alexandra Kindell, acquisitions editor at MCUP. Her email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
