In addition to the general call for papers, we especially want to to draw the attention of public historians working in New York State to the call for papers for the annual Researching NY Conference. The conference draws folks working on all aspect of NY history and would be a great opportunity to showcase some of the outstanding public history work being done across New York State!
An innovative new program at Rutgers University–Camden will offer participants a unique opportunity to learn the processes and techniques of historic preservation in the living classroom of Camden and nearby Philadelphia and South Jersey.

The Winter Academy “Revisiting the Nation: Transcultural Contact Zones in Eastern Europe” will be held from 26 February to 7 March 2018 in Bukarest. It will be concerned with the conditions and implications of nation building in Eastern Europe.
