'Florence Nightingale and the Crimean War Revisited' - online event 5 July

On 5 July, 5.30 - 7.00 pm (BST), the University of Nottingham / AHRC project 'Florence Nightingale Comes Home' will host a webinar re-examining the Crimean War and Nightingale's relationship to it. All welcome.


The event features:

- British Library curator Alex Hailey discussing the BL’s Crimean War & Nightingale collections

- Professor Holly Furneaux (Cardiff) on ‘Treating the enemy’ - on cross-lines medical treatment during the Crimean War

- Dr Jonathan Memel (Bishop Grossesteste University) and Dr Richard Bates (Nottingham) from the Nightingale project talking about Nightingale and the idea of a ‘home front’ in the Crimean War.
