Workshop "Science & Dissent", University of Geneva, June 1-2, 2018

Registration is now open for the two-day workshop on “Science and Dissent”, which will be held at the University of Geneva June 1-2, 2018, organised by the research group Rethinking Science and Public Participation.

In this workshop, we will explore the history and current workings of science and dissent, focussing on the multiple social, political, and epistemic dimensions of the production of knowledge outside of scientific institutions, as a form of civic and political dissent. We have gathered scholars from various fields and countries in the hope to provide a new understanding of the relationship between science, expertise, and civil society.
