It is our pleasure to inform that Eä - Journal of Medical Humanities & Social Studies of Science and Technology (Eä Journalhas been awarded at the Digital Humanities Awards as Best DH Contribution Not in English. 

Awards are given to resources for the recognition of talent and expertise in the digital humanities community and are nominated and voted entirely by the public.

Eä Journal Editorial Team thanks all of those who have participated on the votation and all of those who have been supporting these publication along the years.

About the Digital Humanities Awards

These awards are intended as an awareness raising activity, to help put interesting DH resources in the spotlight and engage DH users (and general public) in the work of the community. Awards are not specific to geography, language, conference, organization or field of humanities that they benefit. Any suitable resource in any language or writing system may be nominated in any category. The nominations procedure is overseen by an international nominations committee who will decide on final candidates for each category and the final voting is open and decided by the public.  There is no financial prize associated with these community awards. What are the Digital Humanities?

The Digital Humanities are an area of research, teaching, and creation concerned with the intersection of computing and the disciplines of the humanities. Digital Humanities embrace a variety of topics, from curating online collections to data mining large cultural data sets. Digital Humanities (often abbreviated DH) currently incorporate both digitized and born-digital materials and combine the methodologies from traditional humanities disciplines (such as history, philosophy, linguistics, literature, art, archaeology, music, and cultural studies) and social sciences with tools provided by computing (such as data visualisation, information retrieval, data mining, statistics, text mining) and digital publishing. Read more »
