Hello! I'm the host and producer of Consolation Prize, a podcast about the history of the United States in the world through the eyes of its consuls (https://consolationprize.rrchnm.org/). We're currently developing an episode for Women's History Month that's going to be a series of short stories about women's intervention into consular diplomacy.
So we're looking for stories about how consuls' wives have affected the work of consuls. This could be anything from hosting parties to maintaining correspondence networks to even doing consular duties. (We are looking specifically for consular connections, not ministers or ambassadors.)
If you know of such a story, would you please reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org? We'd love to feature your work on our podcast.
