CFP for SHEAR 2020 Panel on Royal Authority

I know it's a bit last minute, but I am trying to put together a group who would be interested in joining a panel I am organizing for SHEAR in Philadelphia in July 2020.

I am interested in organizing a panel about the nature of royal authority of the British Empire and how it was shaped and changed by the French and Indian War and the early years of the Imperial Crisis. My own paper deals with colonial governors on the borderlands in the Gulf South and how their representation as conduits for the king had lasting ramifications into the late 1700s and early 1800s.

I am also trying to find two generous individuals who might be willing to serve as the chair and commentator.
