Dear SHEAR Colleagues,
As Co-Editor of the Journal of the Early Republic one of the arrangements I have with SHEAR is the opportunity to provide you information about the M.A. program at Rutgers-Camden in case it makes sense for students of yours to apply. Our M.A. annually provides several fellowships that cover full tuition and a stipend for the entirety of the degree for full-time students as well as partial fellowships, and every admitted student receives some form of funding.
We have designed our program to assist a variety of students seeking the M.A. and especially those who aspire to gain entry to strong Ph.D. programs but who are not quite ready to produce competitive applications. We have an excellent track record of preparing such students and for assisting them in finding acceptance with full funding in top Ph.D. programs. If you have strong and motivated students who will benefit from rigorous graduate study at the M.A. level, we have designed our program to show students what they will need to do to be successful in Ph.D. programs, and we help them to decide how and whether to proceed with that ambition. Please direct any students you think could benefit from our program to our webpage and let them know that I am happy to talk with them about our M.A. program.
