8 June SHEAR23 News: Hotel &c. Edition

Hello SHEARites!  

30 days until we gather in Philadelphia for our 44th annual meeting headquartered at the DoubleTree Hotel City Center, 237 South Broad St.  The hotel block is almost full and will close on Monday, 12 June.  Please book your room now.  Rates are $174/single or double, $194/triple, and $214/quadruple, and are valid for up to three days before and three days after the SHEAR conference, based on availability.  All conference attendees are responsible for making their own room reservations directly with the DoubleTree Hotel at the booking website https://book.passkey.com/e/50376543 or by calling (800) 222-8733 (TREE); please be sure to request the group rate for SHEAR.  Do it now and sleep the sleep of the well-organized!

The updated draft program is available at the SHEAR website (home page and Annual Meeting page); look it over and plan your conference [also, please let me know if you spot errors].  If you haven't yet pre-registered for the conference itself, you can do so from the Annual Meeting homepage: https://www.shear.org/annual-meeting/ Take advantage of that sweet sweet pre-reg discount!  Pre-registration closes Friday, 23 June.  On-site registration will of course be open all the days of the conference but it carries a $30 supplement.

In other news:

HSP is offering free admission to conference-goers and will stay open extra hours for SHEARites.  You will be able to make an appointment for your research trips to the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, stay tuned for details.
