Dear Colleagues,
Please do forward this email to any of your students who would be interested in talking with me about graduate study at Rutgers University-Camden. All students admitted to our graduate program receive funding to offset tuition including some fellowship packages that fully cover tuition and provide a stipend. Our graduate program has strengths in U.S. history, Public History, and Global History as well as course concentrations that allow students to focus on either the early modern or modern period. We are particularly strong in the history of the early Americas and the early modern period in general.
In addition, we have a good track record for preparing students with strong undergraduate records who need additional advanced training to be competitive for highly ranked Ph.D. programs. Graduates from our M.A. program have been accepted with funding into Ph.D. programs such as Auburn University, Brandeis University, Carnegie Mellon, the CUNY Graduate Center, Ohio State University, Purdue University, the University of Alabama, the University of California Santa Barbara, the University of Missouri, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, the University of Tennessee, the University of Texas-Austin, and the University of Virginia.
I am happy and eager to talk to any of your students interested in learning more about graduate study in history at Rutgers-Camden. Please encourage interested students to email me directly at shankman@rutgers.edu. They can find more information about the graduate program here: https://history.camden.rutgers.edu/graduate-program/
