We are putting together a panel for the Western History Association Conference, October 17-20, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. The conference theme is "Reimagining Race and Ethnicity in the West." The panel theme would encompass the Southwest and its borderlands, dealing with public history, indigeneity, authenticity, commerce, and memory. The time period would stretch between the 19th and early 20th centuries.
