2021 Organization of American Historians Tachau Teacher of the Year Award

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2021 OAH Tachau Teacher of the Year Award, which is given annually in recognition of the contributions made by precollegiate teachers to improve history education within the field of American history.

The award, to be given for activities which enhance the intellectual development of other history teachers and/or students, memorializes the career of Mary K. Bonsteel Tachau, University of Louisville, for her pathbreaking efforts to build bridges between university and precollegiate history teachers.

Nominations must be submitted by December 1, 2020. The award will be presented at the 2021 OAH Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL, April 15–18. Further information on the award and how to make a nomination is available on the OAH website:
