Dear H-NewMexico Subscribers,
H-NewMexico is seeking to expand its editorial team. As one of over 100 topically defined networks that constitute H-Net: Humanities and Social Sciences Online, H-NewMexico provides a scholarly forum for the discussion of the culture and history of New Mexico. It is a network for anyone who has an interest in New Mexico and the Southwest, offering a place to propose ideas, announce events, and engage in thought-provoking discussion.
The network would like to recruit at least one volunteer editor to assist in moderating posts and developing content that will appeal to network subscribers. Depending on interests, content may include the development and maintenance of network resources for scholars and teachers, relevant museum exhibition and film reviews, social media initiatives, discussion series, and blogs, podcasts, and/or conference reports.
Service with an H-Net network such as H-NewMexico can be an excellent way to support scholarship and pedagogy, gain experience and academic connections, and help guide the direction of the field. The position of editor is open to scholars of any rank.
Please send a current CV and 200-word cover letter demonstrating your expertise in New Mexico history and culture, and how you envision contributing to H-NewMexico, to Benjamin Davis, Carter Jones Meyer, and Tomas Jaehn at editorial-NewMexico@mail.h-net.org. Please also be prepared to submit a letter of reference if requested. Deadline: April 15, 2021.
This is a volunteer position. H-Net is a non-profit organization run by academics and built around a committed group of volunteers.
