Seminar by Richard Bushman, March 11, U.Conn--"The Nature of the South"

On Wednesday, March 11, at 5:30 PM, current American Antiquarian Society Distinguished Scholar in Residence and Gouverneur Morris Professor of History Emeritus at Columbia University, Richard L. Bushman, will present a paper in the AAS Regional Academic Seminar Series titled “The Nature of the South.” This paper comes from Prof. Bushman’s current research project, “Farmers in the Production of the Nation.” This seminar is part of an annual series of events organized by AAS in conjunction with the history departments at Brown University, Clark University, and the University of Connecticut.

The talk will take place in the History Department Lounge in the basement of Wood Hall on the University of Connecticut Campus in Storrs, CT. There will be refreshments before the talk, starting at 5:00.
