Some of you may have already discovered a new interface for Penn State hosted digital newspaper content, (formerly accessed through the “Olive” platform). Examples include: The Daily Collegian; Lancaster Farming; PA Civil War Era Newspapers, etc. See the full list here.
All of this content has been migrated to the Pennsylvania Newspaper Archive (PaNA), our new digital newsaper platform. Capabilities are mostly the same as the old Olive platform—the most substantial difference is that Olive had article-level indexing (so if you search for a term, your results list will be made up of individual articles), while PaNA has page-level indexing. With PaNA you can search across all the content or use the Advanced Search to limit results by date or specific newspaper titles.
