Hello, H-Pennsylvania community!
I’m glad to meet you and to join the H-Pennsylvania editorial board.
I’m an associate professor of English at Clarion University, teaching a variety of writing, grammar, and literature courses. My professional research centers on historical as well as literary archives, and I volunteered at the Library and Archives at the Senator John Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh for a number of years. I also have the joy of a large family archive of correspondence and artifacts that provides my current project and my connection to H-Pennsylvania. My family has deep roots in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, and we’re fortunate to have generations of “packrats” who preserved family correspondence and other artifacts. I’m working with some of these now to establish a history of my family’s experience on the homefront and through overseas deployments in World War II.
At H-Pennsylvania, I’ll primarily focus on managing subscriptions. Please take a moment to review your profile and update it. It’s easy!
1. Login at https://networks.h-net.org/
2. Click on the silhouette profile.
3. Select Profile.
4. Edit your profile: Add your areas of interest, degrees, bio, webpages, publications, and contact information, and, if you like, upload a profile image.
5. Save your changes.
Through H-Pennsylvania, we hope to help those interested in Pennsylvania history to find one another, make connections, and enrich all of our projects and our understanding of Pennsylvania, locally, nationally, and globally.
I look forward to learning with you.
