Dear H-Penn Subscribers,
Happy April 1 from your "foolish" team of new editors.  We are delighted to unveil the new H-Commons version of the H-Pennsylvania network.  Building from the outstanding foundation provided by previous editors, most recently Tamara Gaskell of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, the shift to H-Commons will allow exciting new opportunities for discussion, blogging, and content sharing.  In addition to the traditional discussion forum, our goal is to grow the network in terms of usefulness to academic, public and K-12 historians, to foster engagement with and among Pennsylvania scholars, and to increase the number of subscribers by providing a product that has broad appeal.  Each of the new editors will be focusing on particular facets of the network that you can learn about from the introductory posts coming out today. We encourage you to send along suggestions, participate regularly in discussion, and let us know if you'd like to become more actively involved in managing the network.  Of course, if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let us know via the "Write to the Editors" link on the H-Pennsylvania homepage.

Sincerely,

H-Penn Editors
