This Thursday, Feb. 9, from 7 to 8:30 pm EST, the University of Utah and BYU's Rocky Mountain Seminar in Early American History (RMSEAH) will be featuring Prof. Eliziabeth Ellis, an asistant professor of Indigenous American history at Princeton Universtiy.
Prof. Ellis will be presenting a work-in-progress titled "Tangled Pathways to Freedom: Enduring Indigenous Slavery in Louisiana." For those interested in attending the event, either live or in person, please email Eric Herschthal (eric.herschthal@utah.edu) to receive the paper ahead of the seminar. This is a workshop-style seminar, and all attendees are strongly encouraged to read the paper prior to the seminar and come ready to offer constructive feedback.
The in-person event is open to all graduate students and faculty in the Utah region, and will be held in Carlyon Tanner Irish Humanities Building -- Room 351 -- on the Universtiy of Utah campus.
