Dear Colleagues,
The University of Missouri-Kansas City's Center for Midwestern Studies invite applications from K-12 teachers for the upcoming workshop, "Crossroads of Conflict: Contested Visions of Freedom & The Missouri-Kansas Border Wars."
Your network editor has reposted this from H-Announce. The byline reflects the original authorship.
Just came across the Midwest Modern Language Association CFP. It may be of interest to some here because of the conference theme "Border States" inspired by the conference's location in St. Louis. The possible topics include several that may interest some here (regionalism, settlement, migration, urbanization...) and (at least) one noteworthy omission among "North and South, East and West."
Most of the CFP is below. The full call is on their site.
