The MHR's graduate Student Paper Prize deadline is drawing near (July 1st). The winning paper will recieve $1000 cash prize AND publication in our Spring issue. We are seeking papers that explore themes related to Michigan's past. Submitted essays must include significant, original, primary source research. Please do not exceed 12,000 words (double-spaced and footnoted). Do not include the author's name anuwhere on the paper itself, but please include a cover letter noting name, school, program and advisor. 

The winning essay will be judged on originality, research, style, amd proper documentation. Winner will receive $500 upon announcment and $500 upon publication. Please send your paper to mihisrev@cmich.edu by July 1st. For questions please e-mail or call 989.774.6567.
