CORRECTION -- Middle West Review is collecting data on any and all courses which are offered at American colleges on the subject of Midwestern history. Kevin Mason at Waldorf University is leading the data collection. If you have information on such courses, please let Professor Mason know. Here is his email address: Kevin.Mason@waldorf.edu As part of this study, MWR is interested in noting how many courses on Midwestern history are taught in comparison to courses on the history of the American West and South.

Building on last year’s theme of “Many Midwests: Constructing Place, Recasting Identity,” we welcome papers relating to all aspects of the history of the American Midwest. This year’s theme of “Many Histories, One Midwest?” is intended to encourage submissions that examine and contextualize whether commonalities may be found among the diverse people and places of the Midwest.
