The Youth Literature and Media area of the Midwest Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association is seeking proposals for papers, panels, and presentations for the 2019 MPCA/ACA Conference. We’re interested in topics that explore the many tight intersections between, or loose boundaries around, childhood, youth, and popular culture.

Volume editors seek proposals for chapters to be included in an edited collection focused on exploring the history, development, and culture of the Eastern edges of the American Midwest and the distinctions between the American East and Midwest. The volume is planned for publication by the Kent State University Press.

23 Additional Wisconsin Newspapers to Be Added to Chronicling America

The Wisconsin Historical Society is pleased to announce that 23 historic newspaper titles from Ashland, Baraboo, Edgerton, Hurley, La Crosse, Ladysmith, Madison, Milwaukee, Viroqua, Wabeno, Washburn, Wausau, and Wauwatosa will be added to the Library of Congress database Chronicling America.
