"Hoosiers: A New History" a WFYI (PBS) 4 part series

On May 12, 2016, WFYI (Indianapolis' PBS affiliate) hosted a premiere screening of Hoosiers: The Story of Indiana at the Indiana Historical Society.  The four part documentary is based upon Indiana University Professor Emeritus James Madison's 2014 book of the same name.  A trailer for the documentary can be viewed here

The documentary will be simulcasted on all eight Indiana PBS affiliates during the following dates and times:

  • Part 1 - Thursday, July 7, 9 p.m.
  • Part 2 - Thursday, July 14, 9 p.m.
  • Part 3 - Thursday, August 4, 9 p.m.
  • Part 4 - Thursday, August 4, 10 p.m.

HoosiersThe Story of Indiana helps celebrate Indiana's bicentennial of statehood in 2016.  The project is made possible by Indiana Public Broadcasting Stations, OneAmerica, the Indiana Historical Society, Indiana Electric Cooperatives, and the Indiana Humanities Council, with additional support from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
