Podcasting is a popular medium of choice in New Zealand - across the age ranges, but particularly by young consumers who are facile with mobile technologies. Here's an article from 2019 that described a survey undertaken by Radio New Zealand to try and figure out about the rapid uptick in usage by younger audiences:

I caught this article in the New York Times titled, "Podcasting Is Booming. Will Hollywood Help or Hurt Its Future?"

I am feeling like the Smiths song "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before."

Here another media format (first it was radio, then stand up comedy to claim the "new frontier" of Podcasting.
