Amplified Podcast

I wanted to share a podcast episode that the Amplify Podcast Network put out. The title of the episode is "A Historical Pursuit in Podcasting as Digital Scholarship with Robert Cassanello." The episode features an interview with me and I got to speak about H-Podcast and its founding. We touched on the future of H-Podcast as well. You can listen and check out the episode here

Leopold Tyrmand with Benjamin Paloff: Encounters with Polish Literature S3E3

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Hooligans and bikiniarzy are the heroes of Leopold Tyrmand's 1954 novel of Warsaw, Evil (Zły, published in English as The Man with the White Eyes), which is the main subject of the latest episode of "Encounters with Polish Literature" with my guest, Prof. Benjamin Paloff (UMich). Tyrmand also played a major role in introducing jazz to Poland, and there is a new film out in Poland based on his novel Filip, inspired by his experience working on false papers as a waiter in Nazi Germany.
