Introductions

Hello there!

First, I would like to say thank you for creating this network. It is very timely, and we hope to help grow the community.

In response to your invitations, I would like to introduce myself and six other colleagues. We are Tommy Buttaccio, Averill Earls, Elizabeth Garner Masarik, Sarah Handley-Cousins, Marissa C. Rhodes, Katie Smyser, and Dan Wallace. We're all graduate students in the History Department at the University at Buffalo in various stages of the PhD and MA programs. Three weeks ago, we launched a podcast called the History Buffs podcast, the culmination of about a year of conversations that started, "hey, wouldn't it be cool if..." and "maybe we should try that." We're learning as we go, but we're having a blast doing it. We have put out three episodes so far and have lots more in the works. You can find links to the casts on our website, historybuffs.org, or on iTunes by searching History Buffs Podcast.

So at this point, I'm afraid I don't have much to offer to the listserv but our thanks, and our promise to keep reading and listening. We hope that this network will be a valuable resource for us to learn and improve as we grow and develop our cast, and we'll happily share resources and information that we come across along the way. It's more likely that we have more questions than answers, but that's how it goes.

On behalf of the HistoryBuffs, thanks for reading!
