The Alabama History Podcast began in 2012 as an occasional vehicle to showcase scholars and local history activists who won Alabama Historical Association awards.  It added interviews with incoming AHA presidents, and in late 2016 expanded to add people doing interesting things in the field of Alabama history.  Episode 25 is available now.  Dale Cox, author and local historian, talks about how the First Creek War morphed into the First Seminole War, with serious consequences for south Alabama.  He also discusses his projects, ExploreSouthernHistory.com (a very active blog) and TwoEgg.tv, a YouTube channel.  Available through Soundcloud and the Alabama Historical Assocaition website.
