Education About Asia (EAA) is the peer-reviewed teaching journal of the Association for Asian Studies. Our online and print readers include undergraduate instructors as well as high school and middle school teachers. Our articles are intended to provide educators and academics in the humanities and social sciences who are often not specialists with basic understanding of Asia-related content. Teachers and professors also utilize many EAA articles and essays as student readings. Qualified referees evaluate all manuscripts submitted for consideration.

We are pleased to announce the release of the Resources tab, which is now located at the top of all of our Networks. Prior to the release, there was a Media tab that chronologically aggregated all of the contributions uploaded to a particular Network. While the Media tab clearly had some basic archival value, with the development of many diverse projects making use of this material on our Networks, editors asked for a better way to organize that content. The Resources tab is the fruit of those aims.
The Weatherhead Initiative on Global History (WIGH) at Harvard University identifies and supports outstanding scholars whose work responds to the growing interest in the encompassing study of global history.
The NEH Summer Institute, “Modern Mongolia: Heritage and Tradition Amid Changing Realities” is a four-week workshop (June 6-July 1, 2016) designed to provide 25 undergraduate university and college educators with resources needed to be able to expand curricular offerings in East, Inner, or Central Asian Studies. The question of how Modern Mongolia is navigating its place in the world will be explored through the humanities; art, literature, music, and dance provide useful lenses to view how cultures in Mongolia are changing and still yearning for the past.
