The AJJ (Anthropology of Japan in Japan) Annual Meeting Organizing Committee would like to draw your attention to the forthcoming conference, the annual meeting of the Anthropology of Japan in Japan association and sponsored, online, by Temple University Japan and the Institute of Contemporary Asian Studies. The Anthropology of Japan in Japan is a small, bilingual group which encourages and presents material on all facets of Japan.  We especially encourage undergraduate and graduate presentations as a way to encourage interest in anthropology.

The conference is scheduled from Saturday, December 5 to Sunday, December 6.  From 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday (JST) and from 10:00 am to 3:15 pm on Sunday.

Participation (online on zoom) is free, but prior registration is required. Participants may feel to join and leave as you like during the two days. For the link to registration and further information, including the complete program and abstracts of the presentation, please go to:

As noted in the link, any inquiries can be sent to ajj2020@tuj.temple.edu (AJJ 2020 Annual Meeting Organizing Committee: John Mock, Andreas Riessland, Kaeko Chiba, Sachiko Horiguchi).
