I am currently looking to recruit two fully funded (scholarship) PhD students in International Relations focusing on East Asia. One has a general focus on international politics in East Asia, whereas the other will deal with international politics in East Asia with a specific orientation towards Internet-related issues, methods or material because it is part of a larger research project.
The PhD students will receive a monthly tax-exempt stipend starting at about 24,000 SEK (currently about 2,700 USD, 2,450 EUR, 18,700 CNY, 300,000 JPY) for four years. The students will be enrolled in the IR PhD program at the Department of Economic History and International Relations at Stockholm University, where they will do their course work but they will also have a working space at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs where they will be part of the institute's Asia program.
The deadline for applications is 10 June. More information about the positions, including instructions concerning how to apply, can be found here:
Information about the Swedish Institute of International Affairs’ Asia program can be found here: http://www.ui.se/eng/pages.aspx?r_id=134401
Questions about the positions should be sent to me: firstname.lastname@example.org
I would greatly appreciate if you could forward this information to anyone who might be interested in applying for either of the positions.
