Asia Pacific Week is a multidisciplinary conference held annually in Canberra, Australia, aimed at high-achieving tertiary students from around the world who have an academic interest in Asia and the Pacific. The 2017 conference will explore the theme of ‘A Changing Landscape’: examining the changes occurring in the Asia-Pacific region, and the steps that must be taken to ensure its stability and growth.

Asia Pacific Week is highly regarded for its capacity to draw in diverse and innovative perspectives to examine the changes occurring in the Asia-Pacific region. Panels, debates, simulations and other academic events, along with a vibrant social schedule including a gala dinner at one of the city’s iconic venues, give student delegates countless opportunities to network and engage with like-minded peers, diplomatic officials, policy makers, and ANU’s leading academics. This unrivalled experience is set against the backdrop of Australia’s capital, at the nation’s premier university in Asia-Pacific studies.

The 2017 conference will be held from 25 – 30 June 2017. Current tertiary students who see their future within the Changing Landscape of the Asia-Pacific are highly encouraged to apply today. We also appreciate academics and educators sharing this opportunity with their students. Applications will close on the 7th of April at 5pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time, UTC+10). If you have any questions regarding the conference or the application process, please visit our website or contact the 2017 committee at
