Dear members,

I hope that you are well. I am delighted to share with you the exciting news of a substantial new academic project launched by Gorgias Press and the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS). The Library of Arabic and Islamic Heritage represents an ambitious project in which multiple academic series, each with a focus on early and medieval Islamic thought and history, will be published over the coming years.

The first initiative of the project is the Classical Islamic Texts Series, which will publish ten translations of important classical Arabic works. The series calls on established specialists in the field to submit proposals for single-volume translations. All accepted proposals will be provided with a stipend, subvention grant and professional copy editing support.

More information about the project, its editorial board and the series call can be viewed here. I would be grateful if you could kindly circulate this call among your colleagues and departments.

Please free to contact me if you have any questions about the series or would like to informally discuss your ideas for translations.

Best regards,

Adam.
