Updated programme for ICMR seminar
Dear All,
I hope this finds you well. I am writing about some changes to this semester’s programme for the Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations research seminar. Unfortunately, we have had to cancel upcoming talks by Prof Andrew Peacock (14 February) and Dr Neelam Hussain (21 March) due to planned university strikes. This decision was not taken lightly, as we were greatly looking forward to welcoming them to Edinburgh and hearing about their work. We hope to reinvite them over the next academic year.
The next (and final) talk in the series will be on 4 April, as scheduled. Our speaker is Dr Hilary Kilpatrick, who will talk about al-Shābushtī’s Book of Monasteries ahead of her eagerly anticipated translation in NYU Press’ Library of Arabic Literature series (May 2023).
This hybrid event will take place at the School of Divinity, University of Edinburgh (Elizabeth Templeton Lecture Room), 16:10 GMT. If you wish to register as an online attendee, please email me at srassi@ed.ac.uk. We hope to see you there, in-person or online!
Best wishes,
Salam Rassi
