Presentation on the battles over renaming streets in Dallas after civil rights leaders

I will be giving a presentation at the Pan African Connection book store in Dallas, Texas about the battles over renaming streets after civil rights leaders. The presentation will be part of an effort to rename Marilla St. on which Dallas City Hall sits to Marvin E. Crenshaw Blvd. a local civil rights leader whose landmark federal court case eliminated at-large districts in Dallas.

It is basically about race and place.

There will be four major focuses.

1. Short presentation with maps of the Confederate streets surrounding City Hall.
