ANK: Digital tools for the identification of textual practices of comparing. Annotation and operationalisation with CATMA, Bielefeld (22.04.2023)

Ich freue mich, Sie erneut auf die am 22. April stattfindende Training School »Digital tools for the identification of textual practices of comparing« hinzuweisen, die von Mareike Schumacher geleitet und vom SFB1288 mit Unterstützung von den BiLinked Communities of Practice Data Literacy und Public Humanities sowie dem Bielefeld Center for Data Science (BiCDaS) organisiert wird. Der Fokus der Training School liegt einerseits auf der theoretischen Einführung in die grundlegenden Funktionen und Möglichkeiten der Annotation und Analyse mit CATMA (und darauf aufbaend GitMA). Andererseits steht natürlich auch die praktische Übung und Umsetzung des Besprochenen auf dem Programm: anhand der Analyse von Vergleichen in literarischen Texten als Beispielaufgabe werden wir ein Projekt aufsetzen, Annotationskategorien entwickeln und ein Korpus annotieren und analysieren.

I am happy to remind you about the Training School "Digital tools for the identification of textual practices of comparing", which will take place on April 22nd. It will be led by Mareike Schumacher and organized by SFB1288 with the support of the BiLinked Communities of Practice Data Literacy and Public Humanities as well as the Bielefeld Center for Data Science (BiCDaS). The Training School focusses, on the one hand, on the theoretical introduction to the basic functions and possibilities of annotation and analysis with CATMA (and, based on that, GitMA). On the other hand, the program will of course include practical exercises and implementation: using the analysis of comparisons in literary texts as an example task, we will set up a project, develop annotation categories, and annotate and analyze a corpus.
