Dear Colleagues in German Studies,

Seminar invites the submission of articles on German-language literature, media, and culture. A leading journal for the study of Germanic Studies, Seminar seeks to publish the highest-quality scholarship on a range of fields including philology, philosophy, aesthetics, media studies, visual culture, gender studies, and transnationalism in so far as they relate to German-language material or other languages in a German-cultural context.  Submissions are welcome in English, French, or German. Seminar is available in print and online via the University of Toronto Press. Please see our guidelines for further details on how to submit your manuscript.

In addition to a standing call for papers for open issues, we also invite proposals for guest-edited special issues. Recent special issues have encompassed a broad range of topics and fruitful interdisciplinary collaborations such as “Reading Minds: German Studies and the Neurohumanities,” “Indigenous and German Studies,” and “The Social Justice Work of German Comics and Graphic Literature.” We would be happy to discuss any proposals for a special issue with you.

We look forward to helping you publish your exciting research!
