Assistant Professor (tenure track) of German. Possible specializations: Modern Literature; Film & Media; Digital Humanities; Applied Language Studies; Translations.

 

The Department of German at UC Berkeley seeks applications for an Assistant Professor (tenure track) of German with a focus in one or more of the following areas: German Film and Media, Modern Literature, Applied Language Studies, Translation, or Digital Humanities.

 

The position entails broad competence in at least one of the focus areas, demonstrable either through formal study or publication record, and excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will teach a broad range of undergraduate and graduate courses in the field and is expected to be able to teach at least one of the core requirements for the major.
