Welcome to H-Romania, a new network for scholars, students, and professionals interested in Romanian Studies (broadly conceived). We are in the early stages of our launch, so please bear with us while we add and develop content. H-Romania is affiliated with the Society for Romanian Studies (SRS).
In addition to fostering scholarly exchange through discussion posts, H-Romania will publish reviews, discussions and virtual roundtables, calls for papers and applications, conference and workshop reports, research guides and materials, teaching resources, and other materials.
Anyone interested in Romanian Studies and Central, Southeast, and East European Studies is welcome to join our network. However, we do ask that you provide a completed H-Net profile, indicating your full name, institutional affiliation, and areas of interest (we are strict about this, as we do not allow anonymous posts, and moreover must be on guard for solicitors and other spam). We also welcome users who represent official institutions and societies, provided they can be verified.
We are particularly interested in the following types of content, including notifications about particular sites, resources, and events:
- Syllabi and Educational Resources
- Archives and Research Databases
- Theses and Dissertations
- Academic Programs
- Language Courses and Resources
- Bibliographies, Journal Lists, Reading Lists
- Conferences, Symposia, Exhibitions, Book Launches
We are also interested in building our Reviews and Reports pages, including book and film reviews, and conference and exhibition reports.
If you are interested in joining the editorial team, becoming a reviewer, or blogger at H-Romania, please contact the editors. As well, do let us know if you think we should add a particular resource, or if you notice a broken link or a major change to any of the content on our pages.
Thanks for taking the time to view our network, which is still very much a work in progress.
