The Enslaved Project at Michigan State University is looking for assistance with identifying online slave repositories for inclusion in their forthcoming digital hub.  In this phase of the project, we want to identify and create a comprehensive list of slave databases in various stages of development and construction initiated during the past decade or more by scholars studying the Afro-Atlantic world, as well as aiding scholars in creating their own slave datasets. We are asking for information about pre-existing digital projects dealing with slavery. What digital slave databases are you familiar with? What digital resources on slavery would you recommend to a student looking to research a particular aspect of the slave trade? These datasets can take any form and be recorded in any language.

If you have ideas of current online databases or would be interested in sharing a link to your own existing database, please reply either to this discussion post or via email (to myself or my colleague, Dave Glovsky).
