Society for Military History Conference (2019): Looking for Panelists (Early Cold War Intelligence)

Philip Shackelford's picture

Good morning!

My name is Philip Shackelford, and I am looking to put together a panel for the 2019 Society for Military History Conference taking place in May 2019 at Ohio State University. The panel would be loosely focused on the early Cold War with themes of intelligence, national security, air power, or some combination thereof. For example, my research focuses on the U.S. Air Force Security Service, the first COMINT organization of the Air Force to be formed following World War II. All proposals are due by October 1, 2018 and all participants must be members of the Society for Military History by December 31, 2018. If anyone is interested please get in touch, and please send details about your research and a description of the project you would be interested in presenting.

My email address is pshackelford@southark.edu. Here is a link to the CFP: https://u.osu.edu/smh2019/call-for-papers-2019/

Thank you, and I look forward to putting a panel together!

Sincerely,

Philip Shackelford | Library Director | South Arkansas Community College
