The Citadel is pleased to announce that Daniel Coats, Director of National Intelligence (DNI), has been added as a keynote speaker for its third Intelligence & Cybersecurity conference on September 25 & 26, 2018 at the Holliday alumni Center in Charleston, SC. In addition to his prepared remarks, Director Coats has asked to speak to students attending the conference in an informal setting. Given the projected popularity of meeting with the DNI, it has not yet been decided how admissions will be handled but every college/university in attendance will have representation. In addition, the deadline for submitting abstracts for poster sessions has been extended to July 15. This is a great opportunity for students and junior faculty to present posters to a national audience.
The previous conference brought together 250 working professionals to examine the emerging threats and challenges facing the US over the course of the next several years. This year should prove even more timely and exciting. In addition to Director Coats and many interesting panels, the following keynote speakers will share their expertise:
- Mr. David Bowdich, Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation
- Ms. Marina Kaljurand, Chair of the Global Commission on the Stability of Cyberspace

There is a reduced registration fee for academic faculty and a lower rate for students. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on both days.
