IN SEARCH OF ASIAN AESTHETICS IN AMERICAN ART AND MATERIAL CULTURE (October 12-14, 2018)

SYMPOSIUM at UD-Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library (Free and Open to the Public)

You are cordially invited to our 3-day symposium and workshop *In Search of Global Impact of Asian Aesthetics on American Art and Material Culture* (October 12-14) at UD-Winterthur, Delaware.  Eighteen months ago, we began inviting 24 curators and academics of American and Asian Art and Material Culture to work on collaborative projects. The 3-day symposium will be full of excitement as these scholars probe things, investigate artistic ideas, and identify patterns to learn about the unexpected affinities in art and artistic ideas that have circled the globe. All events are Free and Open to the Public, thanks to the Terra, U.Delaware, NEH, and UniDel Foundation, among other sponsors. Advanced Registration is required in order to access Winterthur before its public hours and also to avoid paying ticket fee to access Winterthur’s estate. Registration link  Registration is also available on the website: (https://sites.udel.edu/globalaestheticasiaamerica/)
