Consider joining one of the Consortium for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine’s scholarly working groups, such as the history of Ancient and Medieval Sciences working group. Nahyan Fancy (DePauw University) and Darin Hayton (Haverford College) serve as the Ancient and Medieval Sciences Working Group conveners. They coordinate discussion of secondary readings. The group typically meets once a month. You may participate on site in Philadelphia or remotely from the comfort of your home. Everyone is welcome!
This semester, the Ancient and Medieval Sciences Working Group has been discussing technology such as astrolabes, clocks, and sundials. Past topics have included Anglo-Saxon plant remedies, dietetics in Tang China, and more.
