Meet the H-Maritime Staff

Jennifer Egloff (Review Editor)

Caroline Marris (Editor)

Dr. Marris is a Lecturer in the Core Curriculum at Columbia University, where she completed a dissertation on the cartography and politics of the English Channel in the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries (advisor Christopher L. Brown) in 2021. She has taught several times at Columbia and completed advanced training with the University's Center for Teaching and Learning. She has also been involved in several career diversity initiatives on behalf of Columbia and the American Historical Association. Her work has been supported by the Huntington Library, Royal Museums Greenwich, the British Library, and the New York Public Library, and she has presented several conference papers including for the National American Society for Oceanic History, the Symposium on Medieval and Renaissance Studies, the Columbia University Seminar on British Studies, and the Writing History Seminar of NYC.
