Seminar Medieval Mediterranean - Séminaire Méditerranée médiévale (Paris)

Dear colleagues and friends,
 
We are pleased to announce the resumption this year of the seminar "Medieval Mediterranean".
 
Its objective is to bring together researchers specialising in the Greek, Latin and Muslim worlds in the Middle Ages, with the aim of studying relations in the Mediterranean and of comparatism. It will alternate presentations of ongoing work related to current research issues, and sessions devoted to the issue of building shared standards in the Mediterranean.
 
The seminar will take place one Friday per month, from 9am to 11am, starting November 9th (program attached).
It will be held at the Sorbonne, in the IRBIMMA reading room (staircase B, 4th floor).

Nous avons le plaisir de vous annoncer la reprise cette année du séminaire "Méditerranée médiévale".
 
Son objectif est de réunir et faire dialoguer des chercheurs spécialistes des mondes grecs, latins et musulmans au Moyen Âge, dans une perspective d'étude des relations en Méditerranée et de comparatisme. Il alternera des présentations de travaux en cours liés à l’actualité de la recherche, et des séances consacrées à la question de la construction de normes partagées en Méditerranée.
 
Le séminaire aura lieu un vendredi par mois, de 9h à 11h, à compter du 9 novembre prochain. Il se tiendra à la Sorbonne, dans la salle de lecture de l'IRBIMMA (escalier B, 4e étage).
